Students and staff at Detroit Lakes Middle School celebrated Unity Day on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 21-22.

According to school counselor Kari Swoboda, "Everyone wore orange on Wednesday and black on Thursday to show we are together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion!"

A poster contest was also held in conjunction with the event. The winners were as follows:

  • Grade 8: Faith Sandoval
