Larson named to dean's list at UW-Superior

The University of Wisconsin-Superior has named Naomi Larson of Detroit Lakes to the dean's list for academic achievement during its Fall 2020 semester.

To be named to the dean's list, UWS students must have completed 12 degree-seeking semester credits and achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).

Detroit Lakes' Huwe participates in BSU's football program

James Huwe, Detroit Lakes, a senior majoring in business administration, is participating in Bemidji State University's football program as an offensive lineman this year.

The football program is guided by Brent Bolte, head coach, who is entering his 21st season on the BSU's coaching staff.

Bemidji State University, located in Bemidji, Minn., is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Detroit Lakes student designs poster for BSU's Get Out the Vote campaign

Lindsay Holmquist, Detroit Lakes, a junior studying design at Bemidji State university, created a poster for the Design for Democracy campaign sponsored by the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

The local Get Out the Vote effort was organized by BSU's School of Technology, Art and Design. Posters submitted for the national campaign had to be nonpartisan and encourage civic participation.
