The Waubun-Ogema-White Earth Community Schools and Mahnomen-Naytahwaush Schools have received a $366,000 grant to subsidize internet access for low income families.

The two school districts serve approximately 1,400 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

The $366,000 grant from Enbridge, which was presented on Thursday, Aug. 19, will help defray the cost of internet services, remove financial barriers for low income families, and support student efforts to thrive in remote learning environments.

Enbridge is committed to supporting and strengthening the communities where our employees work and live. In 2020 Enbridge invested over $1.4 million in community-strengthening initiates across Minnesota – aligned with the company's three focus areas of health and safety, environment, and community.
