Eleven up for Miss Polar Fest, Miss Teen Polar Fest

Five teens are vying for the Miss Polar Fest title, and six for the Miss Teen Polar Fest title.

Miss Polar Fest 2005 Leah Griffin and Miss Teen Polar Fest 2005 Summer Jordan will pass on the crowns to two lucky girls Saturday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Historic Holmes Theatre. There is a $5 admission fee.

Those up for the Miss Polar Fest crown include Ashley Lund, daughter of Steve and Ruth Lund. She is a senior at Detroit Lakes High School and attends Minnesota State University Community and Technical College. She will perform a dance for the talent portion of the contest.

Jill Clarey, daughter of James and Jane Clarey, is a junior at DLHS. She will perform a dance for her talent.

Kristine Sanders, daughter of Roger and Noreen Sanders, is a freshman at Alexandria Tech. She will be singing as her talent.

Ashley Berg, daughter of Don and Sheri Berg, is a freshman at MSCTC. She will perform at dance for her talent.

Chelsea Lessin, daughter of Mark and Candace Lessin, is a junior at DLHS. She will perform a dance as her talent.

Candidates for the Miss Teen Polar Fest competition include Melissa Brown, daughter of Cheryl and Andy Brown. She is an eighth grader in Detroit Lakes and will perform on the flute her the talent portion.

Brittany Anderson, daughter of Jason and Katie Anderson, is an eighth grader at Lake Park-Audubon School. She will perform a dance as her talent.

Leaha Jacobson, daughter of Marty and Tyanne Jacobson, is a ninth grader at Frazee-Vergas School. She will perform sign language as her talent.

Allison Gunderson, daughter of Deb and Jerry Gunderson, is a ninth grader at LP-A. She will perform a dance for her talent.

Ashley Dresser, daughter of Tom and Angela Dodd, is an eighth grader in Detroit Lakes. She will perform a dance as her talent.

Chelsey Swenson, daughter of Cathy and Loren Swenson, is an eighth grader in Detroit Lakes. She will perform a piano piece as her talent.
