Minnesota Environmental Partnership, the statewide coalition of 90 nonprofit conservation and environmental organizations, has selected conservation veteran Steve Morse as its second executive director. Morse has been a member of MEP's Board of Directors since 2003 and was named MEP interim director in January 2006.

Morse's 20-plus-year public service career has spanned elected office, appointment as Minnesota Department of Natural Resources deputy commissioner, academia and volunteer conservation leadership positions.

Currently, Morse is a senior fellow with the University of Minnesota, heading up the Green Lands, Blue Waters Consortium.
