Essentia Health is bringing care close to home for Pelican Rapids residents with the opening of a new facility at 301 N. Broadway.
On Thursday, Oct. 27, the public is invited to an open house celebration at the clinic from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The event will include a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, along with a free lunch and building tours.
During the program, Essentia Health leaders will present a check to Pelican Rapids High School for the purchase of an automated external defibrillator (AED), a device used to save lives during a cardiac arrest.
The $1.3 million clinic has nine exam rooms and a room for minor medical procedures.

It also offers a laboratory, imaging services and physical therapy.
The 6,600-square-foot space was designed to be comfortable and inviting to patients and their families.
