Would you like to create a sustainable future in bees by raising bees in your backyard? Honeybees are a gardener's best friend; they pollinate fruit trees, vegetables and other garden plants plus provide a valuable product -- honey.
Mark your calendars for Friday, Feb. 4, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to attend a class on the fascinating world of beekeeping. The class will be held at the Northwood's Bank Basement Conference Room, State Highway 34 East, Park Rapids.
Taught by JoAnne Sabin, a well known educator on honeybees and a Dakota County Master Gardener, the course is designed to encourage, assist and educate others in the wonderful experience of keeping honeybees.
