FARGO - A 25-year-old Fargo man seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident last week is out of bed and walking around with limited assistance, his father said today.
Meanwhile, the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver who hit Justin Bohmer is up to more than $5,000, said his father, Dan Bohmer.
Justin Bohmer sustained a severe cut to the head and a fractured vertebrae and arm in the hit-and-run incident early Wednesday in the 1200 block of Eighth Street South.
Despite those injuries, the Army veteran is doing "remarkably well" and was going up and down stairs this morning with a therapist, his father said.
"He's still in a lot of pain. He gets short of breath and dizzy, you know, with a lot of movement," he said. "But he's anxious to get out of here, so he's pushing himself pretty hard."

It's unknown yet whether Justin Bohmer's rehabilitation will be in-patient or out-patient, his father said.
