MOORHEAD - Two homeowners here received early Halloween scares overnight.
At 1:20 a.m., the Moorhead Police Department responded to a burglary call at the 400 block of 17th Street South, where an intoxicated male wearing zombie-style makeup with a backpack had walked into the residence. The homeowner confronted him with a handgun, and the intruder left the house.
Officers responding to the scene found that a male matching the description had run into another home on the same block. Officers entered the home and found the suspect hiding in the attic.
It was later determined that the suspect knew people living at the second house.
