Fatal accident near Wadena

WADENA, Minn. -- One man was killed and another seriously injured when the car they were in crossed over the center line and struck a semi head-on near here early Saturday morning.

WADENA, Minn. -- One man was killed and another seriously injured when the car they were in crossed over the center line and struck a semi head-on near here early Saturday morning.

Gabriel Kemp, 23, of Bluffton was killed. He was the passenger in car driven by 22-year-old Tyler Langer of Wadena, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Langer was driving an Oldsmobile Alero northbound when it crossed over the center line of Highway 71 south of Wadena and struck a southbound Volvo semi driven by 31-year-old Jovanny Vega of Chicago.

Langer was seriously injured. Vega was not injured.

The crash happened around 12:45 a.m. The State Patrol said the two-lane highway was wet at the time.
