A 41-year-old Bejou woman was killed in a car-semi collision Tuesday in Clay County.
The name of the woman has not yet been released by the Minnesota State Patrol. She was driving a 2005 Buick LeSabre. Airbags did deploy in the car.
According to the State Patrol, the Buick was eastbound on 28th Avenue North. The semi truck was southbound on Highway 9, and the Buick ran into the side of the semi trailer at the intersection.
The semi driver, Steven Thomas Bergren, 48, of Lake Park, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. He was driving a 1999 Peterbilt 379 tractor-trailer.
The crash was reported at 8:56 p.m. on dry pavement in Spring Prairie Township. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Glyndon Fire Department and Fargo-Moorhead Ambulance assisted the State Patrol.
