Fire broke out at a commercial farm two miles north of Lake Park on Monday, April 5.
At about 3:45 p.m., firefighters from Lake Park, Audubon and Hawley were called away to battle a structure fire at a commercial farm near County Road 7 and 230th Street. The 911 dispatcher mentioned that one of the out buildings contained a propane tank, which added a sense of urgency for the first responders to get the blaze under control.
No injuries were reported at the scene; however, paramedics were on site in case injuries developed during firefighting operations from smoke inhalation, or other threats.
High winds were also a cause for concern while firefighters battled to get the blaze under control, according to a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources conservation officer.
Becker County has been under a red-flag warning, including burn restrictions, from the national weather service for most of the past week, but, even though the warning expired, dry and windy conditions still remain.

"If we see smoke, expect someone to show up," he said.
Commenting on the windy conditions, Becker County Sheriff's Office Deputy Adam Douglas, who was onsite directing traffic, said, "It's amazing how something small can turn into something big, especially during these conditions."
More than 20 fires were reported to the Becker County Sheriff's Office over the Easter weekend.
