Officers help child, woman escape house fire in Frazee
A Frazee police officer and Becker County sheriff's deputy helped a child and woman escape a house fire Thursday night.
At approximately 10:44 p.m. Jan. 24, the Frazee Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on East Main Avenue in Frazee. A Frazee police officer and Becker County sheriff's deputy arrived to find flames coming out of the main entryway with the victims inside the house. The two officers were able to break a window and help the two victims escape the blaze.
Both victims were transported to Essentia Health. Their conditions remain unknown.
The Frazee Fire Department was able to put out the flames, but the structure was a total loss.
Frazee Fire was assisted on scene by Detroit Lakes, Perham and Vergas fire departments. The Frazee Rescue and Ottertail County Sheriff's Office were also on scene.
The fire is being investigated by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office.
