The Beautification Committee of the Detroit Lakes Chamber of Commerce is seeking contributions for the hanging flower basket project.
The baskets, which are being provided by Bergen's this year under a bid process, are placed at various locations around town.
The Committee notes that 102 baskets were displayed in 2006.
Contributions of $30 willl refill existing baskets, while an $80 donation will provide new or replacement baskets and brackets for hanging.
Donations made in the form of memorials will have their names engraved on a plaque displayed at the library. To date, 62 baskets have been sponsored, leaving a balance of 40 baskets yet to sponsor.

Donation checks can be sent to the Detroit Lakes Regional Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 348, Detroit Lakes, MN 56502-0348, or dropped off at the Chamber office at 700 Summit Avenue.
The hanging flower baskets are a project of the Beautification Committee, which is chaired by Jolen Shodean.
