Food Pantry receives turkeys

Curves owner Linda Engelman, right, and new members donated a turkey to the Becker County Food Pantry in November and December. Food Pantry Director Jack Berenz picked up the birds from the Give a Gobble fund-raiser. Usually doing a food drive in March, Curves decided that there was a critical need now in Becker County. So departing from tradition, new members can join Curves in November and December by donating a turkey, money towards one or food instead of paying a joining fee. To up the ante, current members are also invited to participate. To date, over 55 new and current members have donated over $521 and 93 pounds of food to the Pantry.
