The Frazee boys' track and field team had a strong showing in the Mahnomen Invite Tuesday, placing second out of 13 teams.
The Hornets collected five first-place finishes -- three of them captured by Drew Daggett -- with Evan Laine taking the 200 dash and the 4x200 relay also taking top honors.
Daggett dominated the hurdle events, winning the 110-meter event with a 15.55 and the 300 with a mark of 42.12. Laine was a gold-place finisher with a 24.11 time in the 200 dash.
Frazee was strong in the relays, placing in all four races, while winning the 4x200 event with a time of 1:35.2. The foursome included Daggett, Skyler Jackson, Laine and Cory Sandberg.
The 4x100 squad, which included Sandberg, Jackson, Mike Galbrecht and McKay Galbrecht, was second at 46.6.

Forrest Sauer tied a FHS record in the pole vault with his 11-0 height. He now shares the record with Tyler Steinle and John Schermerhorn.
The Hornets' effort landed them in second place with 96 points, behind Warroad, which had 125.
The Frazee girls' team finished fifth out of 13 teams, as Nancy Bell held the highest finish on the team, taking second place in the pole vault with an 8-6 height.
Courtney Kallis also landed a silver, taking second in the 3,200 run with a time of 13.33.8.
The 300 hurdles were a point-snatcher for Frazee, as three finished in the top six -- led by Krystle Christianson in third (56.12) and followed by Lauren Daggett (fourth, 56.2) and Kylene Daggett (fifth, 56.43).
The Hornets will be in action Thursday in Detroit Lakes, for a 4 p.m. start.
