A Frazee man is accused of coming to the home of a 13-year-old Moorhead girl he met on Facebook and coercing her into having sex while her grandmother and mother were at work.
Grant Michael Kiehl, 28, then told his victim he’d “have to find someone to hurt her” if she told anyone what he did, court documents say.
Kiehl was charged Saturday in Clay County District Court with one count of third-degree gross sexual imposition with a child of 13, a felony.
According to court documents filed with the charges, the girl’s mother found out about her daughter’s relationship with Kiehl when she saw text messages and photos on the girl’s phone.
The girl and her mother turned the phone over to a Moorhead detective after reporting July 28 that she was sexually assaulted, court documents say.

The child told the detective that she first met Kiehl on June 21 through a friend of her mother’s, and they exchanged Facebook information.
He then got her cellphone number and immediately began asking her to send him nude images of herself, the girl reported.
She told the detective she “put him off” on the nude photos, but eventually allowed him to come over to her house on the evening of July 1 after her grandmother and mother left for work.
While watching a movie, Kiehl began to make sexual overtures to her, and when she told him she wasn’t ready for sex, he told her it would make him like her more and that he would marry her when she turned 18.
The victim told the detective she gave in, thinking if she did not he would force her.
The two took a picture together.
The detective found the photo of the pair, plus text messages exchanged between the two, on the girl’s phone, court documents say.
Kiehl’s bail was set at $10,000 under conditions including no contact with the victim, and $30,000 without conditions.
