The same four that led the way in the primaries took the seats on the Frazee-Vergas School Board Tuesday.
Incumbent Rich Ziegler was the top vote-getter with 21 percent, or 1,811 votes, and following him were Matt Bauer, Kenny Fett and Jim Nelson with 1,426, 1,277 and 1,270 votes, respectively.
Mary Lepisto came in fifth with 931 votes, followed by Brenda Como (604), Kevin Litzau (577) and Chris Wacker (570). There were 122 write-in votes.
None of the top four could be reached for comment prior to the Tribune press deadline Wednesday morning.
During the elections, there were reports of smear letters being sent anonymously to businesses and individuals throughout Frazee, and area newspapers were filled with letters to the editor about unwanted candidates.
