Gail E. Paulson, 60, of Detroit Lakes, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in a motor vehicle accident with her father, Robert Brolin, that occurred near Detroit Lakes.
Gail E. Brolin was born to Robert and Ariel (DeWitt) Brolin on Dec. 30, 1947 in Detroit Lakes, where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School. She moved to Fargo and attended business school, before moving to the Twin Cities and working for Norwest Banks. She worked for Norwest Banks for 36 years, retiring in 2004. Following her retirement she moved to Detroit Lakes to be at the lake with her father.
Gail was a caregiver to everyone in the family. She was also a very active, busy person. She loved living at the lake, traveling, and golfing with her dad. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Dan Paulson of Detroit Lakes; daughter, Michele Palbicki of Andover, Minn.; stepdaughter, Heather Sebesta of Austin, Texas; and three grandchildren. Her mother, Ariel, preceded her in death.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21 at the First Baptist Church in Detroit Lakes, with visitation to take place for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Detroit Lakes. West-Kjos Funeral Home of Detroit Lakes is providing arrangements.
