Gary Stiegel, 46, Spokane, Wash., formerly of Detroit Lakes, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, in Spokane.
Gary Steven Stiegel was born Oct. 6, 1959, in Jamestown, N.D., to Leonard and Eleanor (Richter) Stiegel. He moved to Detroit Lakes with his family and attended school there. He continued to live and work in Detroit Lakes until 1999. At that time he moved to Spokane and worked as a construction laborer.
Gary is survived by a son, Ryan Heinen of Detroit Lakes; four sisters, Lorraine Fandrich of West Fargo, Edna Hilsendeger of Fargo, Judy (Asghar) Fakhary, Spring Lake Park, Minn., Bonnie (Dave) Grosz, Fargo; three brothers, Lee (Pat) Bond, Norman, Okla., Ron (Sally) Bond, Vancouver, Wash., and Terry (Wendy) Stiegel, Detroit Lakes, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Bond and Lenny Stiegel.
The graveside service is Saturday, April 29, at 11:30 a.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, with Father Jerry Rogers officiating.
