Former Detroit Lakes businessman Gregory D. Geeslin, 55, of Fargo, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.

Gregory Daryl Geeslin, son of Daryl and Ardis (Masdal) Geeslin, was born Feb. 5, 1951, in Fargo. Greg graduated from Enderlin (N.D.) High School and went on to attend the University of North Dakota and Minnesota State University-Moorhead.

Greg married Barbara Wadeson on Jan. 22, 1993, in Fargo. Greg owned and operated King Mechanical in Detroit Lakes. He eventually sold the business to Laney's and continued to work with the new owners. Greg later went to work for Johnson Controls in Fargo, and was the branch manager at the time of his death.

Greg was active in the Shriners and Rotary Club of Detroit Lakes. He also was a member and served as president of the Fargo-Moorhead Builders Exchange.

Greg is survived by his wife, Barb Geeslin of Fargo; two sons, Matthew and Andrew Geeslin, both of Minneapolis; a daughter, Jennifer (Chad) Redlin of West Fargo; his father, Daryl (Helen) Geeslin of Detroit Lakes; a brother, Doug (Mary) Geeslin of Hawley; two grandchildren; and his best buddy, Tigger. Preceding him in death was his mother, Ardis Geeslin.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Feb. 11, at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, with burial in Riverside Mausoleum, Fargo. Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home in Fargo handled arrangements.
