About 20 people gathered at the former Grover-Lindberg gas station and convenience store in North Washington Avenue Tuesday morning for the auction of the property by Steffes Auctioneers of Fargo.
Only one bid of $310,000 was entered on the property by Bob Bristlin, who is now the owner of the convenience store.
The warehouse, which was auctioned off separately, was not sold because no one entered the minimum bid. Bristlin said he is hoping the city of Detroit Lakes purchases the property and the former Wisted Hardware Hank and VFW buildings and redevelops the block.
