The Hamden Slough now has roughly 2,000 acres of grasslands again, with plans to plant more in the future. Its wetlands not only provide a resting place for birds migrating, but it also holds some flood waters from the Fargo-Moorhead area in the spring. SUBMITTED PHOTO
