For voters within the Detroit Lakes School District who want more in-depth information on the upcoming school bond referendum, there will be a community information meeting held Monday, Sept. 21 and again Monday, Oct. 26 at the high school gym at 6:30 p.m.
School officials and project leaders will be on hand to answer questions from the audience.
The $68 million referendum includes building a new middle school on Tower Road to alleviate overcrowding at the schools and multiple district-wide improvement projects.
There will also be questions on the ballot to vote for or against two other separate projects – a new $7.9 million dollar pool and a $7.7 million dollar performing arts center addition.
Election Day is Nov. 3, and polls will be open at Community Alliance and Trinity Lutheran churches in Detroit Lakes from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
