"The Man in Black, Tribute to Johnny Cash" is a special tribute show produced by Brown Productions that takes the audience from the grass root days of country and rock-a-billy to the polished MTV and VH1 hits that crossed all age barriers. The performer, Shawn Barker, who has an uncanny resemblance to Cash, truly captures the presence of the legendary performer, not only through his music but also in his storytelling.
From the moment Barker takes the stage with a traditional Cash greeting to his exit with a guitar slung over his back, he offers an exceptional portrayal of the legendary performer.
Quite possibly the most recognizable voice in all of country music belongs to "The Man in Black," John R. Cash. His attempts into the fields of country, folk, rock and even gospel music, distinguish Cash as one of the most intriguing performers in all of 20th century popular music. In addition to one of the most impressive musical careers of all time, Cash enjoyed success and garnered tremendous respect as an author, actor, and Biblical scholar.
