Martha Josephson and Niels Knutson, both of Washington, DC, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
Parents of the couple are Roger and Sharon Josephson of Detroit Lakes; and Darron and Kathy Knutson of New Brighton.
Martha graduated from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana with a double major in political science and English and Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland with a master's degree in comparative ethnic conflict. She currently works for Congressman Collin C. Peterson in Washington, D.C.
Niels graduated from St. Olaf College with a major in music and is currently studying for a master's degree in psychology at American University in Washington, D.C.
A Jan. 29, 2011 wedding is planned at Christ Lutheran Church in Marine on St. Croix, Minn.
