The Lakes Area League of Women Voters will host a Becker County Commission Candidate Forum on Monday, Aug. 2, beginning at 7 p.m. in the conference room at MSCTC in Detroit Lakes.
The Aug. 10 primary election will narrow the candidate field in each of Districts 2 and 4 from five candidates to two for the November general election.
The District 2 candidates are Cyndi Anderson, William "Gerry" Anderson, Ben Farner, John Okeson and Harry Salminen. The District 4 candidates are John Bellefeuille, Brad Grant, Richard Grossman, Don Skarie and Bob Spilman. All have been invited to attend.
