Circle of Parents
Circle of Parents meets on Tuesdays from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Education Center. The group is a mutual self-help group for parents, grandparents, foster parents or anyone in a parenting role. It's free to join. Any questions call Becky at (218) 844-5661.
Look Good...Feel Better

Look Good...Feel Better is a support program for women with cancer. Volunteer, certified cosmotologists teach women make-up and skincare techniques. Women will also receive a free make-up kit. The Detroit Lakes class is held the fourth Monday of each month from 1-4 p.m. in the First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes. To register, call 1-800-227-2345.
Breastfeeding support group
Do you have any questions about breastfeeding or related issues? Do you want to "Connect" with other breastfeeding moms? Pregnant and curious about the benefits of breastfeeding? A breastfeeding support group meets the first and third Thursday of each month in the St. Mary's Innovis Health administrative conference room (across from gift shop). Trauma support group
Lakes Crisis & Resource Center offers a Trauma Support Group on Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. Traumatic events can occur anytime in a person's life and be caused by natural events or human behavior. Trauma can have a powerful impact on feelings, thoughts, relationships, behaviors, attitudes, dreams and hopes. Survivors can face a long journey to work through their experiences to gain a sense of understanding and healing. Stroke support group
Emmanuel Community hosts a stroke support group from 3 to 4 p.m. the second Thursday of each month. It is held in the Emmanuel Nursing Home conference room. Contact Barb Schiller, LSW, at 844-7162 for more information.
Over Eaters Anonymous

Overeaters Anonymous views compulsive eating as a physical, emotional and spiritual disease. Members seek recovery on all three levels by following a 12-step program patterned after that of Alcoholics Anonymous. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology or religious doctrine. Relatives as Parents
Program
Mahube Community Council, under the direction of the Relatives as Parents Program (RAPP), is sponsoring a monthly support group for grandparents, relatives and the children they are raising. A light supper and gathering will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Mahube Community Council office at 1125 West River Road, Detroit Lakes. Childcare will be provided. The Detroit Lakes MS Support Group is presenting a speaker who will address the issue of "starting your own business when you have a disability or chronic illness. sexual assault
support group

Celebrate Recovery
Lakes Area Vineyard Church offers a Celebrate Recovery support group for people with hurts, habits and hang-ups. Come every Monday night for a barbecue at 6:30 p.m., followed by a time of worship and teaching at 7:15, small groups at 7:45 and refreshments and dessert at 8:45. 'Morning Out' program
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota's "Morning Out" program currently has openings. "Morning Out" is a day program for those who have Alzheimer's disease or a dementia-related illness. Activities include games, crafts, music, refreshments and socialization. It also provides a much needed break for their caregivers so they can run errands, go to appointments and take a well-earned rest. St. Mary's Alzheimer's group
St. Mary's Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Group meets the last Thursday of the month from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Winchester on Washington Avenue. Our next support group meets on Thursday, June 26, from noon-1:30 p.m. This support group is open to anyone concerned about caring for someone affected with memory loss and in need of help or support. Hospice of the Red River Valley Grief
Support Group
The Journeys Program of Hospice of the Red River Valley, Detroit Lakes, offers grief support groups.
An adult group for those 18 years and older who are experiencing a loss through death meets the second Thursday of each month from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
A widows and widowers lunch group for men and women experiencing the death of a partner meets the fourth Tuesday of each month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a $3 charge for lunch.

Sexual Orientation & Human Rights is committed to supporting people concerned with sexual orientation, human rights and gender issues, and to provide education related to these issues to the broader community. Non-offending parents group
Lakes Crisis & Resource Center is offering a support/informational group for non-offending parents of sexually abused children. The focus will be supporting the parents, or any other significant person in that child's life, as well as providing information as to what they may be experiencing due to the victimization. Domestic violence

The Lakes Crisis and Resource Center's latest session of its Domestic Violence Support Group is underway. This group is open to anyone who has ever been involved in an abusive relationship and is designed to provide information and support to those struggling with abuse issues. Caregivers support
Lutheran Social Service provides caregiver support and respite for anyone caring for a friend or family member who is 60+ and has an on-going illness. We offer a support group that meets every fourth Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Detroit Lakes. This is a confidential setting -- sharing is optional. Lakeland Hospice Grief Support Group
Lakeland Hospice, Inc. offers a grief support group for anyone who has lost a loved one. Meetings are consecutive Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. in the Hospice office, Fergus Falls. Registration is not necessary, but for further information, call the Hospice office at 218-736-7885 or the group facilitator, Kay Helm, at 218-758-3221. There is no charge, and meetings are strictly confidential.
Lakeland grief support
Lakeland Hospice & Home Care offers free, confidential grief support groups to anyone who has lost a loved one, including family or friends.
Locations are in Fergus Falls in the Lakeland Hospice Office, every Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., facilitated by Kay Helm, every Tuesday at 5:15 p.m., facilitated by Carolyn Billing. Especially from Parents is at 6:45 p.m.
In Perham, Perham Memorial Hospital and Home, Lower Level Conference Room No. 1, every Thursday at 3 p.m., facilitated by Bonnie Wallin.
In Morris, Stevens Community Medical Center, lower level multi-purpose room, every other Thursday (July 19, Aug. 2, 16, etc.) at 10 a.m., facilitated by Rondi Lillehaug and Robi Bowman.
