BECKER COUNTY — Lisa Marie Blakely, 54, of Bemidji, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime.
According to court records, on Sept. 9, 2021, a White Earth police officer received a report of a suspicious vehicle at a property in Becker County off County Road 24. Blakely was found there, and the owner of the property informed officers that nobody had permission to be there.
An officer found a pack of cigarettes outside by a chair. Next to the cigarette pack was a folded piece of cardboard with a white powdery substance that later field-tested positive for 1.6 grams of methamphetamine. Blakely said the cigarettes next to the meth were hers. She was arrested and taken to the Becker County Jail.
On March 23, Becker County District Judge Jay Carlson issued a stay of adjudication and continued the case.
Blakely was ordered to serve 20 days in jail, with credit for three days served. She can serve the rest of her time on electronic home monitoring at her own expense.
