Anthony James Larson, 35, of White Earth, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime and misdemeanor DWI.
According to court records, shortly after 1 a.m. on April 2, a Becker County deputy pulled Larson's vehicle over on Highway 59 for a burned-out tail light. While speaking with Larson, the deputy could smell the odor of burned marijuana coming from the vehicle. He did poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested. The deputy found 1.84 grams of meth during a search of the vehicle. A search warrant for Larson's blood was executed at 2:36 a.m. and the sample was sent to the Minnesota BCA for testing.
He was released without bail, under standard conditions of release. His next court hearing is May 23 before District Judge Jay Carlson.
