The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Thursday, March 17
- 8:45 a.m., 1300 block Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, single-vehicle rollover. No injuries.
- 9:36 a.m., near County Road 1 and Highway 10, Lake Park, traffic stop. A 39-year-old St. Paul man was stopped for a possible speeding violation and was found to be driving with a revoked license. The man was arrested.
- 11:34 a.m., 100 block east Holmes Street, Detroit Lakes, attempted credit card fraud.
- 1:31 p.m., at Detroit Lakes High School, bomb threat. Unfounded. After an hour long search, law enforcement cleared the scene to resume normal operations. The case is under investigation.
- 3:37 p.m., 100 block east Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, previously trespassed individual found on grounds. A 34-year-old Mahnomen man was arrested.
- 11:04 p.m., Lake Park, runaway. A 15-year-old Lake Park girl was reported as a runaway. The girl snuck out of the house through a window.
Friday, March 18
- 9:45 a.m., Lake Park, a 17-year-old student was counseled about vaping at school.
- 1:05 p.m., 14000 block Nelson Lake Road, Lake Park, main gas line break. The leak pushed gas into a building interior. All of the building occupants evacuated safely. The gas was secured and normal operations resumed about 90 minutes later.
- 2:29 p.m., Frazee, 62-year-old Frazee woman found deceased. The case is under investigation.
- 2:50 p.m., near County Road 6 and Hillview Lane, Audubon, abandoned snowmobile.
- 4:27 p.m., 27000 block County Road 21, Detroit Lakes, gas pump drive-off.
- 8:06 p.m., Frazee, domestic assault. A 27-year-old Frazee woman reported being assaulted by strangulation by a 36-year-old Frazee man. No medical transport was needed and the man was arrested at the scene. The case remains under investigation.
Saturday, March 19
- 3:53 p.m., at Walmart, Detroit Lakes, shoplifting.
- 5:33 p.m., 18000 block County Road 38, Frazee, vehicle fire. All occupants evacuated safely. No injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished within one hour.
- 8:03 p.m., 28000 block Pine Point Road, Ponsford, the window glass to the front entry door of a residence was broken. Unknown if any items are missing.
Sunday, March 20
- 3:10 p.m., near Wadena County, drug related.
