The following reports were compiled from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office and Detroit Lakes Police Department from an official with knowledge of the cases, unless otherwise noted.
Monday, Feb. 7
- 7:06 a.m., 300 block east Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, shoplifting.
- 7:20 a.m., 600 block Holmes Street, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle was reported on fire in a residential driveway. Detroit Lakes firefighters were dispatched and extinguished the blaze in about 40 minutes.
- 1:37 p.m., near County Road 29 and 330th Avenue, Frazee, a vehicle reportedly ran over a curb and a road sign. No injuries.
- 3:23 p.m., 48000 block County Road 26, Ponsford, a caller reported their soon-to-be-ex boyfriend broke down her door a few days ago. Officers advised an order for protection and eviction procedures.
- 3:52 p.m., 13000 block Ness Estates Lane, Lake Park, burglary. Three power drills, a chainsaw and a pellet gun were stolen from an unlocked shed.
- 8:01 p.m., near 170th Street, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.
- 8:13 p.m., 34000 block Hubble Pond Road, Rochert, a vehicle struck a deer. No injuries.
Tuesday, Feb. 8
- 10:10 a.m., at Detroit Lakes High School, a student was found to be in possession of a vape pen. The student was assigned detention.
- 1:38 p.m., near Highway 59 and County Road 22, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash in the roundabout. No injuries.
- 2:27 p.m., 300 block Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.
- 4:07 p.m., 38000 block County Road 34, Ogema, a vehicle was reported off the roadway. No injuries.
- 4:23 p.m., 300 block Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, a pharmacy believes they received a fraudulent prescription via fax machine. The case is under investigation.
- 5:08 p.m., 37000 block Highway 34, Detroit Lakes, single-vehicle rollover. No injuries.
- 6:30 p.m., near County Road 6, Detroit Lakes, a vehicle struck a deer. No injuries.
- 7:24 p.m., near Frazee Street and Washington Avenue, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.
- 7:56 p.m., Ice Palace, Detroit Lakes, a caller stated a group of about 12 juveniles were climbing on the ice palace and scattered into the park when they saw headlights. Officers spoke to some of the juveniles.
- 8:49 p.m., 20000 block County Road 21, Detroit Lakes, assault. A 16-year-old woman pushed a 47-year-old woman to the ground. The 16-year-old was detained and transported to a juvenile detention facility. The case remains under investigation.
- 9:23 p.m., 28000 block Highway 34, Detroit Lakes, attempted burglary of a storage unit. The caller reported gouge and pry marks on the unit door. The case is under investigation.
- 10:02 p.m., near Highway 10, Detroit Lakes, single-vehicle rollover with injury. A 51-year-old Detroit Lakes woman was transported to a nearby medical clinic for treatment.
Wednesday, Feb. 9
- 3:03 a.m., near County Road 21 and Somdahl Road, Callaway, a snowplow struck a 39-year-old White Earth man who was laying in the street. He was transported to a nearby medical clinic with unknown injuries.
- 8:40 a.m., near County Road 39 and County Road 122, Frazee, a vehicle was reported in a roadside ditch. No injuries.
- 2:50 p.m., near County Road 111 and County Road 34, Ogema, a vehicle was reported in a roadside ditch with its airbags deployed. No injuries.
- 3:13 p.m., 300 block east Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.
- 3:53 p.m., 23000 block County Road 21, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No reported injuries.
- 4:27 p.m., near County Road 111 and County Road 34, Ogema, a vehicle was reported in a roadside ditch. No injuries.
- 4:53 p.m., near County Road 21, White Earth, a vehicle was found off the roadway and unoccupied.
- 6:30 p.m., near County Road 34 and 250th Avenue, Ogema, a vehicle was reported off the roadway. No injuries. A tow truck was dispatched.
- 7:28 p.m., rural Detroit Lakes, assault. A caller reported their “intoxicated” 57-year-old father kicked their 19-year-old boyfriend. The parties were separated for the night. No injuries and the case is under investigation.
