Crime and fire report: White Earth woman arrested following break-in and dog assault

A caller reported a woman broke into her residence and assaulted her dog, according to an emergency service report. The woman also damaged the reporter’s mobile phone. A 47-year-old White Earth woman was arrested at the scene.

Monday, Oct. 24

1:17 p.m., near Detroit Lakes, domestic incident involving family members. No injuries reported. A 33-year-old Detroit Lakes woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant. The case was referred to the city attorney for possible charges.

3:37 p.m., near North Shore Drive and Lyndale Avenue, Detroit Lakes, motorcycle crash. A 17-year-old Frazee boy was transported to Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes for treatment.

4:00 p.m., near County Road 158, Ogema, multiple catalytic converters reported stolen. The case is under investigation.

11:13 p.m., near Becker County, a Michigan law enforcement officer called to report a sexual assault case that may have occurred in Becker County about 10 years ago. The incident is under investigation.

Tuesday, Oct. 25

7:21 a.m., near Ponsford, a caller reported ongoing harassment.

7:51 a.m., near Highway 59, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. A vehicle was rear-ended. Minor back and neck pain reported.

10:54 a.m., near east Main Avenue, Frazee, vandalism reported at the Mahube-Otwa building and playground. Waiting for a security camera review.

12:16 p.m., near east Frazee Street, Detroit Lakes, two-vehicle crash. No injuries.

12:26 p.m., at Walmart, Detroit Lakes, past action, shoplifting.

4:24 p.m., near Detroit Lakes, unauthorized debit card use. The case is under investigation.

7:42 p.m., near Eighth Street, Detroit Lakes, domestic assault. A 54-year-old Detroit Lakes man was arrested at the scene and the case has been referred to the Detroit Lakes city attorney’s office for possible charges.

7:53 p.m., near Rivercrest Drive, Frazee, minor assault. A 61-year-old Frazee woman and a 45-year-old Frazee man were playing cards when the man reportedly slapped the woman’s hand. No medical transport was needed and the woman was advised of harassment restraining order procedures.

10:46 p.m., near Lake Park, domestic incident. A caller reported their 13-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter were fighting with their father and breaking items in the residence. Both juveniles were transported to a juvenile detention center in Moorhead.

Wednesday, Oct. 26

9:25 a.m., near Detroit Lakes, damage to a city holding pond by a contractor. The incident is under investigation.

9:29 a.m., near Ogema, break-in. A female caller reported a woman had broken into her residence and kicked her dog. The woman also damaged the resident’s mobile phone. A 47-year-old White Earth woman was arrested at the scene.

10:08 a.m., near County Road 32, Detroit Lakes, unauthorized debit card use. The case is under investigation.

1:11 p.m., near Fourth Street, Frazee, attempted break-in. Door damage reported.

1:56 p.m., near Old Pit Road, Detroit Lakes, excavation machinery was vandalized. The caller also reported some wire was stolen from the site. The case is under investigation.

2:32 p.m., near Eagle View Road, Ogema, drug related.

7:15 p.m., near Waubun, suicide related. A 13-year-old boy was threatening self-harm. The boy was transported to a nearby medical clinic for evaluation.

8:34 p.m., at AmericInn, Detroit Lakes, awning damaged by a vehicle that was too tall.

8:34 p.m., near 513th Street, Frazee, possible ID theft. The caller believes someone is using their identity to apply for an apartment or utilities in Texas.
