DETROIT LAKES — Essentia Health St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes is set to host a burial and memorial service to remember babies lost through miscarriage or stillbirth this past year.

“Losing a baby is one of the most painful experiences a family can go through,” said Essentia Birthplace Registered Nurse Supervisor Paige Perrine. “This service is a chance for grieving parents to honor the memory of their baby and find support with others in the community who are experiencing a similar loss.”

The public is invited to join the service at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, at Oak Grove Cemetery, located at 515 US-59 in Detroit Lakes.

Call Perrine at the Essentia Health Birthplace, 218-847-0804, with questions or for more information.
