DETROIT LAKES — In an effort to help one of its loyal customers recover from a devastating fire, Detroit Lakes-based garment manufacturer Lakeshirts, Inc., has created a "Maplelag Strong" t-shirt and is offering it for sale to the public.

One hundred percent of the sales from the first 1,000 shirts will go directly to Maplelag, the Callaway-area resort that lost its main lodge to fire on Oct. 10.

"Lakeshirts believes in supporting the community we call home and where our retail partners, employees and sales reps live, work and do business," said the Oct. 21 press release announcing the sale. "Please help us stand with Maplelag Resort, one of our very first customers, as we come together and help show our support after the devasting fire that resulted in a total loss of their lodge. Let’s all be #MaplelagStrongTogether and do so in one of the ways we do best.

Maplelag Strong t-shirts are available online at blue84goods.com through Nov. 6; the shirts will be shipped out to customers on Nov. 11.
