Letter: Thanks for making Winter Gear Give-a-Way a success

Thanks to your generosity, 204 children from 68 families received jackets, boots, snow pants, sweatshirts, mittens and caps to face the upcoming winter.

DETROIT LAKES — We wish to give thanks to everyone in the Detroit Lakes area who helped make this year’s “Winter Gear Give-a-Way for Children” a huge success on Oct. 8.

Thanks to your generosity, 204 children from 68 families received jackets, boots, snow pants, sweatshirts, mittens and caps to face the upcoming winter.

A special thanks to Lakeshirts for its donation of 104 sweatshirts, Thrivent for financial backing and The Knights of Columbus for their generous support. Again, all blessings to the Detroit Lakes Community.
