PERHAM — Incumbent Otter Tail County Sheriff Barry Fitzgibbons was re-elected as the Otter Tail County sheriff in the 2022 election.
He was elected to his first term as sheriff in 2018.
Fitzgibbons started his law enforcement career 22 years ago as a deputy for the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. Over those 22 years, he has served in supervisory roles and as part of the command staff. He also has 15 years of SWAT experience.
His opponent, Joey Geiszler, is a police officer with the Fergus Falls Police Department.
