LAKE PARK — Gloomy weather didn’t dampen the fun kids were having at Pumpkin Fest in Lake Park on Saturday morning. They loved the "Ninja Anywhere" obstacle course, inflatable games and the two barrel trains weaving around in City Park.
Everybody seemed to like the Corn Maze in a field a few blocks east of the American Legion, and the wagon rides between the Corn Maze and the Fire Hall just added to the fun. A classic car show stretched for several blocks downtown, where a dunk tank and several food stands were doing steady business.
Dozens of other events were held over the three-day celebration, including a pumpkin-weighing contest, an Autumn display contest, a 5K run Saturday morning and a parade on Saturday afternoon.
