DETROIT LAKES — Fighting Alliance Championship 14 is coming to Detroit Lakes' Kent Freeman Arena on May 20 and they are bringing UFC Fight Pass with it.
The main event from FAC 14 will be broadcast on the official UFC streaming service, UFC Fight Pass, and feature a lightweight match-up between UFC fighting veteran, Dakota Bush (8-4), and Troy Wittman (6-3). In the co-main event, Mikey England (6-1), will take on Lucas Batista (5-0), an undefeated fighter from Brazil.
Chris Holt, one of the fight's promoters, said these internationally broadcast fights on the streaming service are a great way for spectators to check out some of these fighters before they make it to the big leagues and into the UFC.
"UFC is such a big deal and you see it every time you turn on a TV," said Holt. "It's going to be awesome. There isn't a bad seat in the house."
Holt added this whole region of northwest Minnesota has turned out its share of great fighters and has always been very supportive of their events in the past.

"The lake area is full of great fight fans," he said. "They definitely like watching their locals and ... they really join together in force and they get their families together."
There will also be three female bouts as part of the event and regional fighter Sammy Cleveland, of Cass Lake, will take on Jesse Wannemacher, of Superior, Wisc.
"In person fans and viewers from their living room can expect a non stop action experience with the best levels of production the area has ever seen," according to an email from the promotion company.
"Ticket sales are going very well," said Holt.
Weigh-ins for the event will take place at the Holiday Inn Lakefront in Detroit Lakes on May 19 at 5 p.m.
Fighting Alliance Championship 14 is also the inaugural Minnesota event for the group, which is based out of St. Louis, Missouri.
