The Lodge on Lake Detroit will be hosting a special concert this Friday, April 13, at 7 p.m. in the Fireside Lobby.
One of the upper Midwest's finest rhythm and blues bands, the Deb Jenkins Band has gained a passionate following from their performances at the annual Fargo Blues Festival and clubs throughout the region.
The Deb Jenkins Band's club and festival performances feature original music and covers by such artists as Joan Armatrading, Koko Taylor, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Z.Z. Hill, and many others.
Jenkins' appearance will be preceded by a wine-tasting event at 5:30 p.m. Though the concert is free and open to the public, reservations are required for the wine-tasting event, which features "wines of the Southern Hemisphere" at a cost of $20 per person. If you can't catch Friday's show, the Deb Jenkins Band is also slated to appear on Saturday, April 21, at the Ulen-Hitterdal School, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for that concert are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and can be purchased by calling 218-596-8853.
