Detroit Lakes native Lois Berndt, 60, of Minnetonka, Minn., died Monday, April 3, 2006 after a brief battle with cancer.
Lois was born on April 15, 1945, to William and Clara Anderson in Detroit Lakes. She was raised near Frazee, Minnesota, and graduated with the class of 1963. She earned her master's degree in speech pathology from the University of Minnesota, and dedicated her entire career to working in that field.
Lois is survived by her husband, Richard Berndt of Minnetonka; sons James (Carrie) Berndt of Maple Grove, Minn., and David (Tonia) Berndt of Minneapolis; her grandchildren; as well as sister Helen Mickelson and brother Jim (Elaine) Anderson, both of Frazee. Her parents preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 9 at The Reserve in Plymouth, Minn. Arrangements were entrusted to Washburn McReavy Funeral Home, Edina, Minn.
