Three Minnesota State Community and Technical College-Detroit Lakes students have been named to the 2019-2020 All-Minnesota Academic Team in recognition of their leadership, campus involvement and community service.
Shawna Christie, Emily Fraki and Madelin Swanz are all students in the Business Management, Marketing and Sales program on M State’s Detroit Lakes campus and are active in the campus chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two-year colleges. They are among 48 two-year college students in the state who will be honored in a ceremony at St. Cloud State University on April 24.
The academic award program is sponsored annually by USA Today, the American Association of Community Colleges and Phi Theta Kappa. As a member of the Minnesota State system, M State serves more than 8,000 students in credit courses each year.
