Man crashes into sign on Highway 10

A Lake Park was injured in the crash near Detroit Lakes.

A Lake Park man was injured when he rammed his vehicle into a sign along Highway 10, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Kellan Collins, 32, lost control of his 1999 Nissan Maxima just after midnight on Sunday, April 25 near Detroit Lakes. He was taken to Essentia St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes for treatment. Alcohol was involved, the report said. Collins was wearing a seat belt and the airbag on the Nissan deployed.

The Nissan was westbound on Highway 10 at mile post 42 when it lost control, went off the roadway and hit a sign. Detroit Lakes Fire Department and St. Mary's Ambulance assisted at the scene.
