George Warren Rogers, 34, of 3450 26th Ave. S., Minneapolis was found guilty by a Becker County District Court jury on Wednesday on a felony charge of failing to pay child support for a period of more than 180 days.
In 1994 he was ordered to pay $372 a month in child support. That was modified to $151 per month in 2003, plus $50 arrears, for a total monthly payment of $201, according to court records.
He was found in civil contempt in December, 2003, for failure to pay child support. Attempts to serve him for further civil penalties failed in May 2004.
He has not paid any child support since Dec. 15, 2002, and as of February 2005 owned more than $45,000, according to court records.
Sentencing is set for May 21 before District Judge Thomas Schroeder.
