A Hawley man made his first appearance Tuesday in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of selling drugs.
Keith Allen Haats, 51, of 111 3rd St. No. 10, Hawley, is accused of selling six hydrocodone pills to a confidential informant of the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force on March 22. The alleged sale took place in Haats' vehicle while parked outside a Detroit Lakes business. He has been charged with one felony count of third degree sale of a controlled substance. Haats was released on his own recognizance Tuesday pending his next court appearance, at a July 18 omnibus hearing before District Court Judge Peter Irvine.
