WILKIN COUNTY, Minn. – A man was airlifted to a Fargo hospital following a rollover crash Monday afternoon, according to the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office.
About 3 p.m., Ross Rehder was driving a pickup truck on County State Aid Highway 30 near 270th Avenue when he went off the right shoulder and lost control of the vehicle in the snow, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
The truck came to a rest on its side in the north ditch, leaving Rehder trapped inside. Passerby stopped and covered him with a blanket until rescue crews arrived, the sheriff’s office said.
Barnesville firefighters cut off the truck’s steering wheel to extricate Rehder, who was flown to Sanford Health in Fargo. He was in satisfactory condition Tuesday, hospital staff said.
