Man injured in vehicle rollover near Hawley

Minn. - A man had to be extricated from his vehicle near here Saturday after he lost control and rolled the vehicle in a ditch.

Lt. Steve Todd of the Clay County Sheriff's Office said the crash was reported at 5:25 p.m. Saturday in the 23000 block of 40th Avenue South, which is south of Hawley.

The driver was westbound on 40th Avenue South when he lost control on the gravel road and entered the ditch, Todd said. The vehicle rolled and landed on its roof.

The passenger was able to free himself, but the driver was trapped, Todd said. The driver was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for unknown injuries.
