Colin Michael Keane, 22, of Minneapolis has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime, possession.
According to court records: On July 22, he was pulled over by a state trooper on Highway 59 because the tint on his vehicle's windows appeared to be too dark, there were objects hanging from his rear-view mirror, and his license tabs were obscured by a license plate frame.
The trooper smelled marijuana in the vehicle and searched it, finding a glass pipe with residue and .7 grams of marijuana. There were also two baggies of powdered ecstasy, totaling 1.4 grams.
Keane appeared Friday before District Judge Joe Evans, who issued a stay of adjudication and placed him on supervised probation for five years.
He must serve 30 days in jail and pay a $1,000 fine, plus court fees. Work release and STS privileges were granted.

He must get a chemical use assessment and follow the treatment recommendations, abstain from drugs and alcohol, and submit to random testing.
