2022 Primary Results: Bohmer defeats Hahn in GOP primary for Senate District 4

Dan Bohmer will be the GOP candidate for state Senate District 4 in the 2022 general election after defeating Edwin Hahn in the party primary on Aug. 9. Bohmer will face DFL candidate Rob Kupec, who was unopposed in the primary, in the Nov. 8 general election.

DETROIT LAKES — Dan Bohmer has won the GOP primary in state Senate District 4 over Edwin Hahn during the state's primary election on Aug. 9.

With 90% of precincts reporting:

  • Bohmer — 72.55%, 2,297 votes
  • Hahn — 27.45%, 869 votes

Bohmer is an Army veteran and former member of the Minnesota Air National Guard. He retired from the military in 2020 after serving as Commander of the 3247th U.S. Army Hospital in Fort Bragg, N.C., for the past seven years, according to his campaign website.
Bohmer will face DFL candidate Rob Kupec, who ran unopposed in the primary election, on Nov. 8.
