McGRATH, Minn. — A 58-year-old man died in a vehicle crash Tuesday, Jan. 10, in Aitkin County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash at 8:48 a.m. on Highway 65 in McGrath. The driver was northbound on Highway 65 in a 1999 KW Construction semitrailer, when the vehicle left the road and rolled into the ditch, coming to a rest on its passenger side.
The driver, who was not identified Tuesday afternoon, was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the state patrol.
Roads were snowy and icy at the time of the crash.

A 2019 Freightliner Cascadia was traveling north on Highway 71 and a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling east on Leaf River Road. They collided at the intersection.
The man had stopped a road grader he was driving to make repairs when he was hit by a vehicle.

“This particular incident is just a freak accident, and it highlights that ice is never safe,” said Dan Guida, Aitkin County sheriff
The crash occurred Monday afternoon roughly 5 miles north of Avon
His truck had skidded through a stop sign and stalled on railroad tracks near Cass Lake
Joshua Brian Connor, 41, of Sebeka was taken to Tri-County hospital in Wadena with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
He escaped serious injury after being thrown clear of the snowmobile. A 13-year-old boy was driving.
The crash occurred just before 6 p.m. Thursday, when snow fell in the area
